Biography

Steven Smith was elected to serve the people of DeWitt Township as a Trustee on November 20, 2020. Steven has a long history of service which started by serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was a proud infantryman and specialized in the 81mm mortars. He is a Veteran of the Persian Gulf War. After the military, Steven chose to serve as a law enforcement officer and spent 24 years in uniform. In May, 2019, Steven retired as a Sergeant with the DeWitt Township Police Department.

Steven resides in the Township with his wife Makayla and two daughters Kyla and Alyssa.

Steven looks forward to continuing this life of service by working for and representing the people of this great community.
