All registered voters in DeWitt Township will soon be mailed a new Voter Information Card indicating any districting changes. This is required by law. When voters receive their new Voter Information Card, they should carefully look over the information as a number of residents will have had a change in their State, Federal, or local representation. While this card is not required for voting, as picture ID is acceptable, the card does contain important voting location and districting information.
Some residences may receive Voter Information Cards for voters that no longer live at those residences. The most common reason this happens is because voters either moved, and did not change their address on their Michigan driver’s license, or they have moved out of state and did not inform the Secretary of State’s Office, or their local clerk. If this happens, please mark "unknown" and place the ID card back for proper handling by the USPS.
