Qualifying residents of DeWitt Charter Township may be eligible to defer payment of summer taxes to February 14, 2023, if approved. Tax deferments are available to residents with a total annual household income of less than $40,000 meeting one of the following eligibility requirements.
- 62 years or older person
- Paraplegic, hemiplegic, or quadriplegic person
- Eligible service person, eligible veteran, eligible widow or widower
- Blind person
- Totally and permanently disabled person
Residents can file an intent to defer on or before September 14, 2022. This deferment is for a homeowner's principal residence only. Qualified persons must apply for the summer tax payment deferment each tax season.
